Valuable waste – KYVO2, Municipality of Lahti, Finland

The project concerns the implementation of a waste to energy combined heat and power plant to be commissioned in 2012. It makes use of a technically advanced gas-purification process which increases the energy efficiency significantly. The proportion of the electricity production is as high as 30 %. The heat is used in the local district heating system.
